With over 18 years of experience as professional musician, it’s no wonder Andres is a first call performer within the Sydney music scene. After following in father’s footsteps, Andres started lessons from the tender age of ten years old and graduated from the Australian Institute of music with his degree in 2006.

His passion and flair on both percussion and drum kit really transcends from instrument to audience. Andres prides himself on his musicality along with being able to entertain and engage an audience. In terms of experience, Andres has toured both internationally and around Australia and is an extremely seasoned performer.

Such highlights include playing for Guy Sebastian at the Aria awards along with the Aria red carpet house band. Sound and Fury festival in Orange County, California. Writing, recording and touring with well known Post punk band Born Lion along with his Heavy Metal band Sumeru. Week in, week out you’ll find Andres playing a corporate gig one night, then playing in a grimey underground bar the next.

While Andres is a multi-faceted performer, his true passion and talent lies in playing rock and heavy metal - Something that has brewed inside of him from the tender age of 12 after hearing Metallica for the first time.

He performs weekly at Sydney hard rock institution - Frankie's Pizza for their T.N.T Trivia night and Hard Rock Karaoke band - a band with an impressive song list of over 200 songs.
He also tours with Nothing Else Matters - A Symphonic tribute to Metallica. Along with being a first call session and fill-in drummer for various rock and heavy metal bands….. If you want to rock… but in a professional manner, Andres Hyde is the one to call.
