At Circle Music the “Learn to Play” motto is at the centre of all we do.

The Circle Music Academy offers private lessons for students of all levels and ages - no experience is necessary, all you need is that spark of inspiration and we will do the rest.
Our academy is conveniently located in Botany, along major public transport routes and we have plenty of free parking. Lessons are available for voice, guitar, piano, drums, singing, bass, percussion, ukulele and we also have our own unique early childhood music program, host jam sessions and the Weekend Rockers and have regular Ukulele events.

POLICY INTENT |
Our Child-Safe Child Friendly Policy guides staff, tutors, volunteers and students how to behave with children in our organization. Kids are an important part of Circle Music’s business and we want to ensure we have a happy, safe and friendly environment for them. |
HOW CIRCLE MUSIC INVOLVES KIDS |
Circle Music’s philosophy is ‘Learn to Play’ and this refers to discovering the joy and pleasure of playing music whether it is by yourself, in a group or in a band. Circle Music provides private music lessons to children of all ages plus group lessons on-site and in schools. Twice yearly Circle Music also puts on a showcase for kids and their families. It is an opportunity for kids to perform and show off their musical progress and achievements. |
SUPPORT FOR STAFF, TUTORS, VOLUNTEERS, STUDENTS. |
Circle Music promotes respect, fairness and consideration for all staff, tutors volunteers and students. volunteers and students should they need support. All new staff, tutors and volunteers will receive a copy of the Circle Music Child-Safe policy. The policy is also made available to students electronically. |
RECRUITMENT |
All staff, tutors and volunteers are screened by Circle Music before being engaged or employed. Proof of a current Working with Children Check is mandatory for all current staff, tutors and volunteers. |
COMPLAINTS |
Circle Music Australia takes complaints seriously and ensures that any complaint is dealt with sensitively, appropriately and in a timely fashion. Staff, tutors, volunteers and students are encouraged to raise any concerns of complaints with whoever they deem the most appropriate of the following: the Circle Music Studio Coordinator, Circle Music Business Owner, Circle Music Australia Company Director. The Child Safety Contact Person is: Lindy Sardelic. |
COMMUNICATION |
The Circle Music Australia Child-Safe, Child-Friendly Policy will be shared regularly with staff, tutors, volunteers and students. Primarily it will be shared by email. Any updates to the policy will be communicated to all via email and in person. |
REVIEW |
The Circle Music Child-Safe, Child-Friendly Policy will be reviewed on an annual basis. |
