Wendy McDougall

Wendy sold her first photo in 1979 [The Angels]. She started her photographic career in the music business, making iconic pictures of iconic Australian music acts. Since exploring documentary photography [official photographer for the Centenary of Federation], the last decade has seen her branching into theatre, film, television and book illustration.

A finalist in the inaugural National Photographic Portrait Prize, Wendy’s photos are included in collections held by the National Library of Australia. She has also exhibited in eighteen solo and over fifty group shows. Photography has taken Wendy across Australia and Europe [Classical Destinations- an armchair guide to classical music]
